We process personal data in the context of our services.
Hofparken believes it is important to handle this information carefully. In this Privacy Statement, we explain what personal data we collect, how we do this and for how long we keep it, with whom we share it and what your rights are.

  1. Processing

Processing of your personal data by Hofparken takes place in a careful manner and in accordance with the applicable privacy legislation.

We only store and use the personal data that you provide directly, for example when entering into an agreement with Hofparken, by entering your data on our website, or by applying for a job. We may also obtain your personal data from public sources.

  1. Purposes and bases

Newsletter

You can sign up for our newsletter via our website. Through this newsletter, we inform you by e-mail about information, news and developments regarding Hofparken and we keep you informed about products, services and offers from Hofparken.

We process the following personal data for this purpose:

  • first and last name
  • email address

We use these data based on your consent. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Every newsletter contains an unsubscription link. The moment you unsubscribe, we will keep your details on our block list, so that you will no longer receive mailings from Hofparken.

Contact & Request Brochure

We offer various options for contacting us. You can do so by telephone, but also by email or via the contact form on our website. You can also request a brochure via our website.

We process the following personal data for this purpose:

  • first and last name
  • email address
  • telephone number
  • any information that you enter yourself as the content of a message

We use this information to process your request to contact you and to execute the agreement with you for this purpose. We keep this information until we think you are satisfied with our response.

Suppliers

Hofparken purchases goods and services.

We process the following personal data for this purpose:

  • name of contact person
  • (business) telephone number
  • (business) email address
  • organization name (optional)
  • payment information
  • invoice information
  • any contents of the correspondence

We use this information to be able to execute the agreement we enter into with our suppliers and to maintain the relationships that arise from this. We keep this data for the duration of the agreement. We keep some data for longer if we are obliged to do so (for example because of the tax retention period of seven years).

Job applications

Are you responding to one of our vacancies or are you sending an open application? In that case, we process your personal data in order to process your application.

We process the following personal data for this purpose:

  • Name and address details
  • email address
  • telephone number
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • motivation letter
  • salary indication
  • references
  • any other information you include in your application

We use this information in preparation for the possible conclusion of an employment contract. Should you not be employed by Hofparken after the application procedure has ended, we will not retain the application data for longer than six weeks after the procedure has ended. This way, we can still approach you if the previous candidate turns out to be unsuitable on closer inspection. If we are unable to offer you a position at the moment, we can—with your permission—store your application data for a maximum of one year after the application procedure has ended. You can withdraw your consent at any time by sending us an email. If you come work for us, we will store your application data in the personnel file.

Part of the procedure is a social media and internet screening. We may use information found during the application process for further assessment. Performing the screening is necessary to ensure that our image is maintained when hiring new staff. We therefore do this on the basis of our legitimate interest. We search for your name on Google and any profiles on various social media. This applies, of course, insofar as these profiles are public. We will not ask you to give us access to a protected social media page or to connect with us. Of course, the findings will always be discussed with you. We do not reject people solely on the results of a screening. If you object to the screening, you can indicate this by email when you apply.

If we require assistance from external HR consultants in relation to your application, we may forward your details to them.

  1. Confidentiality and provision to third parties

Hofparken will only share your data with third parties if this is permitted under current legislation. We may provide your personal data to third parties because:

  • we have engaged them to process certain data;
  • it is necessary to perform the agreement with you;
  • you grant us permission to do so;
  • we have a legitimate interest in doing so;
  • we are legally obliged to do so, for example if the police require this if a crime is suspected to have been committed.

The parties that process personal data on our behalf or on your behalf are:

  • Our parks
  • Cookie suppliers (see our Cookie Statement)
  • IT suppliers and service providers
  • Payment service providers (and collection agency)
  • Event organizations and locations
  1. Transfer of Personal Data

In order to provide our services, Hofparken may provide your personal data to parties located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Hofparken will only do this if there is an appropriate level of protection for the processing of personal data. This means, for example, that we use a model agreement from the European Commission or make agreements about the handling of personal data.

  1. Security

Hofparken takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss and against any form of unlawful processing.

  1. Rights

  • right to withdraw your consent (you can easily withdraw your consent at any time);
  • right to object (you can object to the processing of your personal data);
  • right to deletion (you can request us to delete your personal data);

  • right to restriction of processing (in some cases, you can request that the processing of your personal data be restricted, temporarily or permanently, which means that we process less of your data).

If you wish to make use of one of these rights, we may ask you to identify yourself. In principle, Hofparken will comply with your request within 1 month.

  1. Complaint

It goes without saying that we are happy to help you if you have complaints about the processing of your personal data. If you nevertheless cannot come to an agreement with us, you also have the right under privacy legislation to submit a complaint to the privacy regulator, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
